GAME ON! Spring 2026
RECORD BREAKER
Goalie Patrick McDevitt ’28 set a single-game team record and broke the NESCAC Tournament record with 73 saves in a double overtime Quarterfinal round game at Middlebury on February 28.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Following its best season in program history and having to replace a pair of All-Americans in the starting lineup, the men’s basketball team proved last season was no fluke. On the heels of a season that saw the Cardinals start 26–0 and rise to No. 1 in the national rankings, this year’s group featured both new and familiar faces in larger roles while the team stayed true to its identity, leaning on the defense and rebounding that paved the way to a Final Four run.
The 2025–26 Cardinal team finished the regular season with a 19–5 record, going 9–1 in NESCAC play and 12–0 at home. Those 19 wins included a thrilling 64–62 win over defending National Champion Trinity, as the Cardinals put an end to the Bantams’ 32-game winning streak. 911±¬ÁÏÍø earned the top seed for the NESCAC Tournament for the second straight year and third time in the past five seasons.
Having graduated two of the best players in program history in Nicky Johnson ’25 and Shane Regan ’25, 911±¬ÁÏÍø saw the rise of a pair of guards in Sam Pohlman ’26 and Zach Wolinski ’28, both of whom earned All-NESCAC First Team honors. With the backcourt duo leading the way on the court, head coach Joe Reilly and assistants Noah Tyson and Nicky Johnson earned NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors, marking the second straight season 911±¬ÁÏÍø earned the award.
The Cardinals headed into the 2026 NCAA Tournament as the #8 overall seed, marking their sixth all-time appearance and the third trip in the past five seasons.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
The women’s swimming & diving program made big strides throughout the 2025–26 season, culminating with the Cardinals’ highest finish in six years at the 2026 NESCAC Championship. After completing the regular season with a 5–5 record in all competitions, including a 4–1 mark at home, 911±¬ÁÏÍø was primed to perform at the NESCAC Championship meet.
Competing against some of the top institutions across all of NCAA Division III, 911±¬ÁÏÍø posted a number of personal bests, broke four school records, and totaled 596 team points to finish in eighth place, which is the best finish at the NESCAC Championship for the team since 2020. In addition, 911±¬ÁÏÍø head coach Vanessa Williamson and her staff took home the NESCAC Swimming Co-Coaching Staffs of the Year honor.
The first of four new school record times came in the 200 freestyle relay, where Zoe Kuhn ’26, Charlotte Fishman ’29, Anne Conway ’26, and James LaCroix ’27 combined for a time of 1:35.61. Sara Bohacek ’26 set a new school record in the 50 breaststroke, touching the wall in 29.46 seconds to break a record that had stood since 2019. Bohacek went on to finish seventh overall in the 50 breast, combining with a sixth-place showing in the 100 breast to clock her two best career finishes at a NESCAC Championship meet.
Conway set another school record as she registered a time of 25.50 seconds in the 50 butterfly preliminaries, breaking a previous record that had stood since 2019. Bohacek completed a stellar weekend with a record-setting performance in the 100 individual medley, completing a time trial in 59.46 seconds. Sophomore Ella Hall ’28 was another standout, becoming the first Cardinal diver to place in the Top 8 since 2019.
WRESTLING
It was a season to remember for Hayden Myers ’26 of the 911±¬ÁÏÍø wrestling team: the senior enjoyed his best year on the mat after being crowned the 141-pound Region 1 Champion. Ranked inside the Top 10 nationally in his weight class throughout much of the season, Myers rolled at Regionals, pinning his opponent in the first two rounds before a major decision win secured his spot at Nationals. Wrestling for the Region 1 title, Myers landed a third-period takedown with 22 seconds left to seal a 4–1 win over Kyle Moore of Southern Maine to take the crown.
With his win in the Region 1 flight, Myers secured a spot in the NCAA Division III Championships for the second straight year, losing just once in 24 bouts this season. He headed into the 2026 NCAA Championships (March 13–14) looking for his first All-American honor, as the decorated wrestler earned All-Region honors in each of his three seasons wrestling for 911±¬ÁÏÍø. Myers, who sports a 3.975 GPA, will graduate in May after just three academic years at 911±¬ÁÏÍø as a molecular biology and biochemistry major.
As a team, the Cardinals showed well at Regionals, taking sixth place out of 19 teams competing, while five 911±¬ÁÏÍø wrestlers earned All-Region honors, including Myers, Ike Guttentag ’26, Chris Hong ’27, Roman Martinez ’27, and Warren Little ’27.
