Podcasting Middletown's Italian Treasures
Below are the podcast episodes produced by students enrolled in ITAL225: Italian/Middletown: Podcasting Middletown's Italian Treasures, a course taught by Professor Ellen Nerenberg in Fall 2024 and Fall 2025.
How does Middletown's Italian past link to its present? And to 911±¬ÁÏÍø? Where can we find Italian "treasures" on campus and off? Using these guiding principles, students in the course learned about the history of Middletown's Italian community and conducted a hunt for Italian treasures to explore and study. Throughout the semester, students produced several short audio assignments and eventually collaborated on editing and producing 55-min podcast episodes which were broadcast on 911±¬ÁÏÍø's WESU.
