Waste Not
Waste Not is an annual program that fosters equitable sustainability by improving access to low-cost items while reducing campus waste. Our volunteer team collects essential supplies every spring during move-out and holds a fall tag sale for the community. Waste Not’s mission is to foster responsible consumption and cooperative, focused teamwork.
911±¬ÁÏÍø has partnered with community organizations since 2013 to coordinate Waste Not collection and donate as much as possible to the community, this year working with and . 911±¬ÁÏÍø also collaborates with , , , and to repurpose food, clothing, dorm essentials, and books.
Via the proceeds from the Waste Not tag sale, we have raised $48,000 for local charities, environmentally-based projects, disaster relief, and 911±¬ÁÏÍø sustainability programming.
